About Daniel

As a local boy Daniel is passionate about Southend and believes strongly in protecting our environment, protecting the budget of key services, cutting wasteful beaurocratic processes, and cracking down on all forms of anti-social behaviour. It is Daniel's main objective to protect what makes Southchurch so great and to stop another grubby deal to power from the Labour and Southend Independence Group.

Daniel has lived in and around the Southend area for the majority of his life. As a Sixth Form student he studied at Southend High School for Girls, and would later go on to study History and Politics BA at the University of Hull. After university Daniel was diagnosed with Lebers, a genetic disorder affecting the centre of his vision. However, he refuses to let this affect him,and is now an active member of the community, contributing to local charities including Southend Hospital who he raised  around £500 for by riding his bicycle in the London to Surrey 100. Since 2016 Daniel has been a Trustee of Southend Mencap.

Daniel now lives locally with his Fiancee Rachel, a registered nurse at Southend Hospital, and his Greyhounds Tess and Bella, who Daniel rescued following their retirements from racing. Daniel currently works along Victoria Avenue in Southend and can be seen on a regular basis walking around Southchurch. He enjoys playing music, participating in sport and is a supporter of West Ham United.
